Colby Consulting offers short-term and long-range strategic planning services.

• Short-term strategic planning (provides recommendations for a six-month to a year period) addresses emerging or existing "crisis" situations, which may be the result of financial difficulties, a breakdown in staff morale, deteriorating Board-Executive Director relations, or a public relations crisis. This is usually a two to three month process.
  
  
• Long-range strategic planning (provides a plan for a two – three-year period) is becoming an annual event for most non-profit agencies. This often takes place in conjunction with a Board Retreat, often accompanied by a separate Staff Retreat. This includes a careful analysis of the state of affairs for all key areas of the non-profit (e.g. Finances, Marketing, Fund Raising, Personnel, Management, Board of Directors). This is usually a four to six month process.
  

Colby Consulting provides support, conducts retreats, prepares draft plans, and assists with implementation of strategic plans working in cooperation with the Executive Director and Board.
